Unique Selling Point
The target audience for my magazine will be for both men and women, aged 16-30, who are interested in indie and rock music. Circulation figures would be around 20,000 every 2 weeks and it would cost £2.50 to purchase.
Magazine name ideas
LSF- Inspired by the Kasabian song, LSF(Lost Souls Forever).
505- From the Arctic Monkeys album, Favourite Worst Nightmare.
Fast Fuse- Song by Kasabian which features on their album Empire.
To create my magazine I will use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Indesign. Also to make my magazine unique I will get fonts from websites such as www.dafont.com. I will use this website to create the title for my magazine.
I have researched into the sales figures of various magazines. The sales of indie magazines is 77,888 and rock magazines is 325,518. Showing that rock magazines sell more than indie. Therefore im going to try and incooperate both genres of music into my magazine.
Circulation Figures
Below are the circulation figures for various music magazines in the UK. The data was collected in December 2009 and July 2009. The data shows that Classic Rock magazine is the most popular.
